Mr Bee and his son Love high quality delicious food from around the world. Over the course of the last 3 or 4 years we’ve been experimenting with chillies and honey to create a perfectly balanced Hot Honey.

When working building beekeeping kit in the workshop over weekends we often stop to have conversations with customers about bees. And then we get onto discussing the honey, and before you know what they are sampling the hot honey we’ve created for our own (and family and friends) consumption. It always ends with a request to buy some which until now we’ve never made enough to satisfy customer demand. However we’ve decided to put it on sale!

Hot Honey is a condiment which is perfect drizzled over chicken, pizza, barbequed or grilled meats, salad dressing (particularly goes will with a nut based salad)… to be honest hot honey is great with tons of food - Mr Bee’s son pretty much drinks the stuff!

You can use it to marinade however we think it is better drizzled over already cooked food.

We’ve concluded the best Hot Honey is made through heating the honey and then infusing 3 different types of chilli. The aim is to maintain the excellent honey flavour but to introduce to it the wonderful flavours of the chillies and not just heat. It isn’t so hot that taste buds are destroyed, it isn’t going to melt your face or strip the inner walls of your throat away, but it is hot enough to enjoy if you like spicey food.
